J'ai volé la vie : ウィキペディア英語版 | J'ai volé la vie
"J'ai volé la vie" ("I stole life") was the French entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1989, performed in French by Nathalie Pâque. At the age of 11, Pâque was the youngest performer France ever sent to Eurovision. The song was performed fifteenth on the night, following Finland's Anneli Saaristo with "La dolce vita" and preceding Spain's Nina with "Nacida para amar". At the close of voting, it had received 60 points, placing 8th in a field of 22. The lyrics are somewhat elliptical, with Pâque admitting that she ''"stole life"'' and that she ''"couldn't tell you my name"''. It was succeeded as French representative at the 1990 Contest by Joëlle Ursull with "White and Black Blues". ==Sources and external links==
